This Week at MGHS

We are excited to tell you of the activities happening at MGHS this week:
The MGHS Key Club will be culminating their "Pennies for Patients" fundraiser this week.  This is to bring awareness to the many people suffering from Leukemia and Lymphoma.  All proceeds will go to help Layne Stark and his family.
This week will also see some of our athletic teams in OHSAA tournaments.  Good luck to all of our athletes and coaches as the winter sports season is quickly coming to an end.


Monday 2/17:
Happy Presidents' Day!
MGHS will have regular classes today.  
The softball team will be meeting at 7:15am today in the Community Room for an organizational meeting for the upcoming season.

Tuesday 2/18:
We will be meeting with current juniors today to look at transcripts, testing, graduation requirements, and course selections for their senior year.
The Chamber of Commerce will be honoring Liam Dennis as Student of the Month today at a luncheon meeting.
Our Boys Basketball Teams will be traveling to Lucas tonight beginning with J.V. at 6:00 and immediately followed by the Varsity contest.  
The monthly Board of Education Meeting will take place this evening at the Board Office at 7:00pm.

Wednesday 2/19:  
Our current sophomores will be meeting to go over transcripts, testing, graduation requirements, and course selections.

Thursday 2/20:
We will continue to meet with sophomores to prepare for their senior year and graduation requirements. 
OHSAA DIstrict Bowling competition will be held today at HP Lanes, Columbus, beginning at 10:30.  Congratulations to Trace Hatfield who qualified and will be representing MGHS at the district level!

Friday 2/21:
There will be a Morrow County Truancy Advisory Council Meeting today.  This group works closely with the school to provide mediation with students and families before attendance problems become critical.  We would like to thank the Morrow County Courts for supporting this important group.

Saturday 2/22:  
There are many activities on the calendar for today.
The Mount Gilead FFA will be hosting their annual Judging Invitational.
Our wrestlers will be competing in the KMAC Wrestling Tournament at Cardington beginning at 10:00am.
MGHS will be hosting an OHSAA girls basketball Sectional Tournament at 4:00.  This will feature Mount Gilead vs. Pleasant.
